Here is a very early version of the Nonpareil pool table mfg. Made the Nonpareil around 1885. I believe this particular pool table was made prior to the Collander Co. Merger and after the Balke Co. Merger with The J. So that means it was made somewhere between 1875 and 1884 if I have my Brunswick Billiards history correct. There are large company Logos in the center of the cabinets side panels underneath the side pockets. I personally think this particular table was a custom and or a very limited quantity design from around 1875. The typical Nonpareil design that came slightly later on in time varied a bit but all of those had quite a bit more marquetry type inlays than this one has. However it was not uncommon for them to do custom designs. This one could have been built specifically for some Mason or for a Masonic Temple(s). The inlays on this vintage pool table definitely appear to be of Masonic origin. Many of the designs and symbols inlaid into this table can also be seen in old Masonic style furniture, clocks, etc… This table was restored at some unknown point in time and very nicely so. We picked it up from a lady that owned a high end home in Durango Co. On a fairly large tract of land. Her house had many masonic items in on and and around it. I should have done a property search about the homes history but I just now thought about doing that. It may not be too late as I think I still have her address. Anyway my wife and I have had it in our home for many years now but we would like to part ways with it in favor of a smaller table so that we can also incorporate a full sized shuffleboard table into our game room. We own a Billiard and game room supply in OKC. We are also known as SolidsNStripes which is our websites name. This is just one of the higher end antique pool tables we have to offer. It will take me some time to add others. Our Billiard Supply business has been here in OKC. In the same location for 60 years now.
