The first model with built in ball return, its been owned and cared for by the same family for 60 years. It is built with heavy 5-ply compound sides upon which is superimposed the top molding which is made 6″ x 3 3/8″ of tongued, grooved and glued, specially selected and scientifically kiln- dried lumber. The legs are made of double strength, glued and veneered stock. Complete with return ball function. The cushion rails of the Arcadian table are made up with what is known as a 3–ply body, consisting of three layers of woods of alternating grain glued together to insure the rails against climatic changes. The center layer of these plies is hard maple. This is the layer through which the cushion bolts are placed and maple is used because it holds the bolts firmly. The slate bed consists of three pieces of the best quality slate, regulation size 1 inch thick, with all joints secured by brass dowels and sockets. It has no screw holes on the playing surface. Included with the table are 10 pool cues, an authentic Brunswick cue holder, balls, rack and a custom pool top cover that allows it to be used as a table. It also comes with a perfectly sized ping pong table top that can be used on top of the pool table cover. Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this stunning and exceptionally rare original circa 1800 Charles X Rosewood and Marquetry inlaid Billiard D’epoque billiards table with solid bronze fixtures and fittings and a suite of extras. This is a very rare and highly collectable billiards table. Retailed in Bond street London however it was hand made in France. This table was produced by the same company that made one of Napoleon Bonapartes Billiards tables, the name plates which are in mother of peal and inlaid into the top of the table are heavily faded and difficult to read. The table really is a tour de force of marquetry work, it is some of the most ornate and exquisite work I have ever seen, there are Cherubs, Challises, all manner of floral detailing, this table is like an exquisite work of art from all sides. The metal work is all beautifully cast, its solid bronze on the lion hairy paw feet which are surmounted with crowns, the ladies masks on all corners and the middle along with the floral rosettes. In terms of the condition it is very good, the inlay is all present correct and secured in place, the baize cover was replaced a few years ago, there is one small perforation line, otherwise its in fine order. The cover can be fully and professionally replaced in any colour of the new owners choosing for the cost price. All the bronze has been removed, cleaned, polished and waxed, we have done it in such a way so as to keep the original patina, it has take 220 odd years for the bronze to age in this way, it would be a crime to polish it to a mirror finish. The table comes with an array of extras, you have a suite of original snooker balls in a lovely wood case, a suite of normal sized pool balls with their own triangle, a suite of larger pool balls again in their own wood case and another triangle, various cues and a mid-Victorian snooker score board. For the transportation the table comes in a few pieces, the cushions are all linked as one removable piece which is easily manageable for two people, the slate top is exceptionally thick and is a four strong person job to move, you then have the base which can be transported as it is or have the six legs removed, I would recommend removing the six legs as they each weigh a good 30 kgs. Width:- 246.5cm. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland. Wimbledon-Furniture is a privately owned family ran business out of Wimbledon SW19, we have four large storage warehouses, if you have any questions my number is under the business sellers information, please feel free to call or text. Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade. COURIER (LARGE ITEMS ONLY THAT CANT BE POSTED). Whoever delivers will always require help on the larger items to unload, the price you will be quoted will always be based on this assumption, if this is not possible please let us know as it will affect the price to send a two man team. Rare Brunswick Balke Collender Antique Union League Cue Stick Rack pool table. My work is top shelf. See feedback & testimonials for other billiard items & work I’ve done below in blue. Matching ball rack (see other listing). Also available are antique 8′ & 9′ Oak Union League pool tables (that match this cue rack and ball rack – and can all be finished to match). Please contact me to discuss if interested (use “ask a question button”). One of the nicest and most impressive cue racks you could ever own – this rack makes other cue racks look like toys. It is made in America by an American craftsman – just like the originals were made. This is a very exact & high quality replication of an ultra rare antique Brunswick Balke Collender (BBC) Union League Cue Rack – identical to the original. (4 1/2″ x 36 1/2″ x 69 1/2 – almost 6 feet tall) This cue rack was designed to match Brunswick’s Union League pool table (made 1890 – 1899). It is a gorgeous design with great details. There are 56 separate pieces of wood that have to be made, assembled, sanded and then finished for one of these racks – some are very time consuming to make and require a great deal of skill. This cue rack is loaded with great details – everywhere! It has turnings, carvings & lots of moldings (I ground knives to match the molding profiles exactly). This cue rack dwarfs any normal cue rack – in size, details, style and weight (it weighs 31 lbs – about twice what a normal cue rack weighs) and really has a presence and makes a bold statement. It holds 14 cues (typical cue racks hold 12 cues). Made of quartersawn White Oak with nice flake – just like the original. It’s a nice medium color – not overly light or dark and will compliment most tables and decor, with a high quality furniture finish professionally sprayed (w/ a gun – not cans) nice satin finish (not a high gloss). However – I also have 1 that is unfinished and will custom finish it to your choice of color at no extra charge if you can tell me the stain name and color and I can get it (or you can provide it). Penetrating stains only – oil or lacquer based – I will also use gel stains or dyes if needed for a match – but at an additional cost. I can match colors w/o the stain / color name if I have a sample to go by – but at an additional charge. Add 2 weeks time – minimum for a custom finished cue rack – depending on my schedule at the time of order. Includes wall mounting holes (predrilled in inconspicuous locations – nearly hidden), screws & all hardware & directions needed to install and oak plugs finished to match the cue rack (to cover/ conceal mounting screws). I had an original BBC Union League cue rack to restore and used to recreate this copy from – it would have been close to impossible to get all the details correct from only pictures. EVERYTHING about it is identical to the original, all shapes, sizes, proportions and details, etc. The BBC decal has also been clear coated over for durability. The last picture shows 3 cue racks – the one in the middle is an original/ antique (that I restored) – the 2 on either side are reproductions. The picture is not great, but even up close it is very hard to tell the new from the original. I also made the matching/ complimentary Union League ball cabinet pictured with it from an original also – it too is extremely rare (see my other listings for these). If you are interested in a matching set – please contact me and I can work you a package deal price for both of them – they make a gorgeous set. This is a Lamborghini or Ferrari among cue racks – it is way above the average cue rack. This is not for those who don’t appreciate the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. This will last your lifetime and your children’s lifetime if well cared for and hold it’s value (unlike the vehicle you are driving that you paid much more for). My camera and photography skills are no where near good enough to do justice to this. I assure you that it is far more impressive in person and I guarantee you will be pleased and impressed with the quality and appearance of this cue rack. NOTE: One / (1) cue rack only is what is offered here for sale. Cues, matching Union League Ball Rack and the other U. L Cue racks pictured are not included. Note: The last picture shows a collage of some of my other cue & ball racks I also have for sale. (These are not included in this listing for sale). Originals of these are super rare & virtually impossible to find. If you could find an original – it would almost certainly be very pricey, probably need restoration or repair work (which can be very costly) and very likely be missing parts or pieces. The (2) originals I have had to restore were both missing significant pieces (the top crest is only held in place by dowels and is often missing or damaged). I use only the best materials available for all of my work. Today’s adhesives and finishes are far superior to what was available when the original was made. The finish I used on this is only available to the trade and not the general public – it is a conversion varnish that uses a catalyst to help it cure and harden – refinisher’s hate it because it it very difficult to remove, but it will wear very well and last for many decades. His workmanship is incredible and accurate, Best ever! BEST PRODUCTS, A++++EBAYER, ALL MADE IN AMERICA!!!! Wow very nice item, thanks Rick. John, I got to it today. It is unbelieveable Thank you so much! Thanks again I mounted them on the wall yesterday and they really do complete the set. Nice packing too no damage. Extremely Rare Antique 1908 Old Mission Style “B” Brunswick Balke Collender Co. Pool Table 4 Leg Model. Strictly conventional old style Mission billiard table construction. Brunswick Balke Collender Co. It is made of oak, the most appropriate wood for the purpose, and finished in Weathered Oak. Particular attention is directed to the following points of superiority in this design of table. The slate bed is best quality Vermont one inch thick, the sections being joined with brass dowels and sockets. No screw holes on the playing surface. The cushion rails are of extra heavy construction and firmly bolted to the slate bed. In all high grade tables, what is termed a “blind cushion rail” is made use of, that is the bolts holding the cushion rails to the slate bed are concealed by woodwork. This eliminates the cheap appearing ornamental bolt caps and gives greater weight to the cushion rail, which means better results from the cushions. The cushion rail tops are veneered with rosewood, which does not change color, cannot be easily disfigured with lighted cigars and does not have the objectionable features of a varnish finish.
